I received my Ph.D. in English Literature at SUNY Stony Brook University in New York (May 2018). A former Assistant Dean of Academic Affairs, I have taught undergraduate courses in both public and private universities. In addition to my M.A. in Aesthetics and B.A. in Philosophy, I possess two French language certificates from the Sorbonne.

My research areas include: environmental literary criticism of nineteenth and twentieth-century literature, ecocinema criticism, and political and cultural ecologies.

My recent teaching experience includes: Nature in the Nineteenth-Century, Ecopoetics, and The Modern Victorian Environment. I am also an Open SUNY fellow in the Center for Excellence in Online Teaching.

My dissertation, “The Sustainable Victorians?” examines sustainable citizenship in novels, prose, and poems.
