I am a Ph.D. candidate in English Literature at SUNY Stony Brook University in New York. A former Assistant Dean of Academic Affairs, I have taught undergraduate courses in both public and private universities. In addition to my M.A. in Aesthetics and B.A. in Philosophy,I possess two French language certificates from the Sorbonne.


My research areas include: environmental literary criticism of nineteenth and twentieth-century literature, and ecocinema criticism.


My recent teaching experience includes: Nature in the Nineteenth-Century, Ecopoetics, and The Modern Victorian Environment. I am also an Open SUNY fellow in the Center for Excellence in Online Teaching.


My dissertation, “The Sustainable Citizen in Nineteenth and Twentieth-Century Literature and Film” examines sustainable citizenship in novels, poems, and film adaptations.
